NOMINEES OF THE 2021 EDITION OF THE CAMEROON HEROES AWARD
Fellow Cameroonians, it is with joy that we present to you, the first list of shortlisted candidates for this year’s edition of Cameroon Heroes Awards. We shall be publishing the final list of nominees on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. All candidates will be officially informed of their nomination on or before Friday, December 12, while voting exercise will begin on Saturday, December 14. We are appealing to the general public, bloggers and others to help us tag or inform candidates who have been nominated for this award.
As we release this first list of candidates, we would like the general public to note the following;
- We received over 6000 nominations this year from Cameroonians home and abroad; which were processed and submitted to the award Independent Commission of Judges to review and adopt those with visible impact.
- Only Cameroonians, Cameroon based institutions and Cameroon based diplomats have been nominated for the award.
- All nominees presented herein have been reviewed and approved by the award independent commission of judges, confirming that they have all been contributing in one way or the other to the growth and development of Cameroon.
- All nominees under the Cameroon Remarkable Heroes Award category will be subjected to public voting from the 14th – 30th of December, 2021. As usual, the public voting will constitute 40% of the official result, while the votes of the award independent commission of judges will constitute 50% of the votes, and the GAICAM Board will have a 10% stakes in the results.
- All candidates under the Cameroon Heroes of Valor Award category, Cameroon Exceptional Heroes Award Category, Cameroon Diplomatic Heroes Award category and the Cameroon Diaspora Heroes Awards category, nominated by members of the award Independent Commission of Judges, will solely be voted and confirmed by the GAICAM Board for the award.
- The award commission of independent judges will compile the various results, tabulates them and make public the finalist in January, in prelude to the Award ceremony in March.
On the other hand, and in accordance with sub section 12, 13, of the award Terms and Conditions, all shortlisted nominees herein are invited to contact the award team with their brief professional Biographies and professional photo or logo. All information should be forwarded to nominate@cameroonheroes.gaicam.org. Any category where none of the nominees confirmed their participation will be automatically remove the category from the list of those to be honored.

This Category of awards shall be awarded to six (6) Cameroonians or groups of Cameroonians in the Diaspora who are exceptionally contributing to peace and harmony, and to the growth and development of Cameroon. It is specially crafted to honor Cameroonians abroad who are investing back home and contributing immensely to the socioeconomic development of their communities or the nation at large. On the other hand, if you think we omitted a candidate who supposed to be on the list, please feel free to forward us the name of the candidate through nominate@cameroonheroes.gaicam.org or via the WhatsApp Number +237678895757. Meanwhile, note that for any proposal you send to us, you must provide evidence of the candidate’s impact and a brief justification to back your claim. We shall not receive any proposal after Saturday, December 4, 2021.
The 2021 Cameroon Heroes Award Ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday March 4th, 2022 in Yaounde – Cameroon.
