Meet Terabel Marini, a winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Award, in the category of Impact Cameroon International promoter. She is a Cameroonian Italian author, philanthropist, humanitarian, real estate developer and the CEO and sole sponsor of the Terabel Marini Foundation.
She has done several charitable activities through her foundation such as visiting the Kidney Patients at the General Hospital in Buea and donated money to kidney patients for free screening; she also visited orphanages in Buea, Douala and Kumba and gave them food, money, and basic needs. On World Kidney Day, Terabel Marini foundation collaborated and offered free kidney screening, blood test, Creatine, Urinalysis test, high blood pressure test and diabetes screening test to over 7,000 persons in Bamenda. Terabel Marini Foundation also visited the general hospital in Bamenda and donated food stuffs and money to cancer patients. Terabel Marini Foundation, after receiving an award in Germany, visited the refugees in Germany and offered them food stuffs and basic needs. On World Diabetes Day, Terabel Marini Foundation offerred free diabetes screening to over 300 people and more in Buea.
Terabel Marini was the winner for the Cameroon Heroes award because of the impact of her Cameroon International promotion activities which has touched many lives. All nominees had a 40% votes from the general public, 50% votes from the commission of independent judges and 10% votes from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 5% of the vote had to carry out their background checks and private reviews in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserve the award or not. Terabel Marini had a 19% vote from our independent commission of judges, a 20.38% vote from the general public and a 4% vote from the GAICAM board. Making a total vote of 49.38% final results with the runner up having 40% which made him the winner of the said category.

Your indiscriminate sacrifices and brilliant initiative activities has gone a long way in improving and empowering the lives of young people. Making you our hero of the year.
