Meet SIANTOU Higher Institute of Business of Technology, a winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Awards, in the category of Impact Private Higher Institution of the year. Founded in 1991 by the Ministry of higher education. SAINTOU University affiliated to the University of Buea by the framework agreement of June 2011 offers young people a varied range of business and management specialty, leading to two years of study obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree.
They offer programs in accounting, business, finance and banking, humanities, management, and marketing, communication studies, hotel management, and insurance, French, journalism, law, photography, secretarial studies, mathematics and computer engineering. SIANTOU has graduated a thousand of laureates and prepared them both theoretically and practically for the job market and also provided job opportunities to the community through the various programs offered in their institution.
SIANTOU was the winner for the Cameroon Heroes Awards because of the impact of their training activities All nominees had a 40% votes from the general public, 50% votes from the commission of independent judges and 10% votes from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 50% of the vote had to carry out their background check and private review in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserves the award or not. SIANTOU had a 26% vote from our independent commission of judges, 4.29% from the general public and a 6% vote from the GAICAM board. Making a total of 36.29% votes final results with the runner up having 27.48% making SIANTOU the winner of the said category.

You have been an inspiration through your patience in research to many youths and Cameroon at large. This has made you our Hero of the year. Your institution has created many jobs for youths and has reduced unemployment and give a good training program to the youth
