Impact Community Initiative Leader 2020

Meet Sam NLOIN SUKPA, the winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Award, in the category of Impact Community Initiative Leader of the year. Sam Nloin a dynamic, proactive, and a visionerian whose mission statement is “to train youth to serve the community with integrity and skills”. This drive has made him to lead many training sessions on leadership, volunteering and community development.

He started his Community Empowerments activities and leadership at the age of 6 from his village and became international about it from 2016. Due to his impacts through Clean-up Campaigns/Sensitization, other youth started following him. He created an organization called “Clean Water and Sanitation Africa (CWASAF)” in 2017. Since then he has been very consistent and committed to ensuring proper hygiene and sanitation. He has carried out more than forty Community Projects in different Communities like Ndongo, Bokwai, Clerk’s quarter, Bonduma,and  Miss Bright Street just to name a few.

Sam was nominated for the Cameroon Heroes award because of the impact of his community initiative which has touched many lives. The purpose for this award was to acknowledge individuals who through their social, economic or cultural projects or initiatives have provided lasting solutions to community-based problems and have equally impacted the lives of people in their community positively and contributed to the growth of the nation. All nominees had a 40% votes from the general public, 50% votes from the commission of independent judges and 10% votes from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 50% of the vote had to carry out their background checks  and private reviews in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserve the award or not. Sam Nloin had a 26% vote from our independent commission of judges, a 2.33% vote from the general public and a 7% vote from the GAICAM board. Making a total vote of 35.33% final results with the runner up having 34.91% which made him the winner of the said category.

Congratulations once again Sam Nloin for your hard work. You have greatly contributed to the growth and development of your community. You have been an inspiration to many youths and Cameroon at large. This has made you our Hero of the year. Your start-ups initiative has created many jobs for youths and has reduced unemployment.
