Meet GREEN AND BETTER WORLD, a winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Awards, in the category of Impact Non-Governmental Organization of the year. Founded by Michael Ambe Ngwa, born in Buea, Holder of a Diploma in Safety Management from OSHA Academy. Michael Ambe Ngwa has been assisting the vulnerable such as orphans, widows, olds, young, physically challenge, less privileged materially, financially and morally.
He has planted environmental-friendly trees in his communities and beyond for free; and has done voluntary work and community services in the city of Limbe, assisting many youths to gain employment and scholarship within and out of the country. He has also created free online platform to share knowledge, information and opportunities. He has been organizing female football competitions in Limbe for many years. He has organized Community services which regularly clean environment, created awareness on methods to Combat Covid-19, and has offered free scholarship to students and pupils with free accommodation to ten Internally Displaced Persons (students).
GREEN AND BETTER WORLD was the winner for the Cameroon Heroes Awards because of the impact of their incredible contributions to community development and empowerment. All nominees had a 40% votes from the general public, 50% votes from the commission of independent judges and 10% votes from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 50% of the votes had to carry out their background check and private review in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserves the award or not. GREEN AND BETTER WORLD had a 13% vote from our independent commission of judges, 12.22% from the general public and 2% from the GAICAM board. Making a total vote of 27.22% final results with the runner up having 25.70% which made him the winner of the said category.
Congratulations once again GREEN AND BETTER WORLD for your hard work. You have greatly contributed to the growth and development of your community. You have been an inspiration through your patience in research to many youths and Cameroon at large. This has made you our Hero of the year. Your NGO has created many jobs for youths and has reduced unemployment
