Meet TEMBU Daniel Ebere popularly known as Danny Green, a winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Award, in the category of Impact Comedian of the year. He is a graduate with a professional diploma in radiology from the St. Louis university institute of health and biomedical sciences; and a bachelor’s degree in radiation technology from the University of Buea.
Growing up he saw people going through pain and suffering and desired to be that person to put smiles on their faces .He is the founder of ENERGY GANG association which is aimed at youth empowerment Energize and empower Cameroonian youths. Danny Green has visited and provided aid to orphanages and less privileged students in schools across Cameroon. So far they have been able to visit 10 orphanages and 20 schools including primary and secondary schools providing food items, school items like school fees, shoes, uniforms, exercise/text books etc. ENERGY GANG strives to relief people off their burdens enlightens them and keeps them happy.
Danny Green was nominated for the Cameroon Heroes award because of the impact of his comedy activities which has touched many lives. This award was to recognize and celebrate an individual who has demonstrated outstanding records or achievements through his talents/works in the comedy industry and has used his work to impact the community and promote socioeconomic growth or development of the community and the nation at large. All nominees had a 40% votes from the general public, 50% votes from the commission of independent judges and 10% votes from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 50% of the vote had to carry out their background checks and private reviews in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserve the award or not. Danny green had a 20% vote from our independent commission of judges, a 21.8% vote from the general public and a 3% vote from the GAICAM board. Making a total of 44.8% final results with the runner up having 36.3% which made him the winner of the said category.
Congratulations once again Danny Green for your hard work. You have greatly contributed to the growth and development of your community. Your indiscriminate sacrifices and brilliant initiative has gone a long way in improving the lives of orphans and the less privilege. Making you our Hero of the year.
