Meet Credit Communautaire D’afrique (CCA), the winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Awards, in the category of Impact Financial Institution of the year. Founded in Bafoussam in July 1997 firstly as a second category micro-finance institution.

In May 20th 2015 it migrated to a universal bank. Credit Communautaire D’Afrique has over 42 agencies all over the 10 regions of Cameroon with its headquarter in Yaoundé. CCA has an E-banking system which offers 3 types of withdrawal cards, operable on the network of 49 ATMs. They offer services such as money transfer, credit, remote banking, fix term deposit and fund raising. CCA have been main sponsor in several occasions.

Credit Communautaire D’afrique (CCA) was the winner for the Cameroon Heroes Awards because of the impact of their facilitation of money transactions. All nominees had a 40% vote from the general public, 50% vote from the commission of independent judges and 10% vote from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 50% of the votes had to carry out their background check and private review in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserves the award or not. Credit Communautaire D’afrique (CCA) had a 19% vote from our independent commission of judges, a 15.27% vote from the general public and a 5% vote from the GAICAM board. Making a total vote of 39.27% final results with the runner up having 25.82% which made her the winner of the said category.
