Meet AGBOR Franklen, a winner of the 2020 edition of the Cameroon Heroes Award, in the category of impact tech innovator of the year. He is a young Cameroonian innovator who is passionate about solving daily life challenges affecting communities through leveraging on technology. He is the founder and CEO of Aleigro.com which seeks to connect small businesses to millions of customers, making it easy to do business across Africa, especially during a period like this where businesses are shutting down as a result of the crisis affecting Cameroon.
Franklen went forth to create Aleirgro. Com in order to help most businesses which were still operating in the traditional business way to modernize and expand their outreach to customers and also, help business affected by the COVID 19 pandemic to connect with other businesses for survival and growth. He has through Aleigro.com successfully connected 40 SMEs in Cameroon after its launch on the 21st November with pending 60 businesses currently undergoing its business verification and registration process. It has also provide employment to 20 Cameroonian youths, carried out 15 successful deliveries and providing an alternative way to do business in the means of the pandemic and crisis affecting the country.
Franklen was the winner of the Cameroon Heroes Award because of the impact of his tech innovation which has touched many lives in the form of youth employment and connecting businesses. All nominees had a 40% votes from the general public, 50% votes from the commission of independent judges and 10% votes from the GAICAM board. The judges which constituted 50% of the vote had to carry out their background checks and private reviews in order to independently pass their judgment to whether the candidate deserve the award or not. Agbor Franklen had a 19% vote from our independent commission of judges, a 5.38% vote from the general public and a 2% vote from the GAICAM board. Making a total vote of 26.38% final results with the runner up having 25.98% which made her the winner of the said category.
