ABOUT THE AWARDS
GAICAM Impact Awards are special recognitions of excellence and visible impact, awarded to Cameroonians and Cameroon based institutions who have created real impact in their communities and Cameroon at large through positive contributions and engagements. It is annually organized by Go-Africa Initiative Cameroon (GAICAM) and partners, with the aim to identify, encourage, promote and honor exceptional individuals, organizations, associations, public institutions, and corporate structures that have created economic value for the society, and have contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of their communities and the nation as a whole, as well as those who exemplify state values like; peace, unity, love and social cohesion.
This Impact Award seeks to inspire and encourage Cameroonians via their individual efforts and/or their institutions to explore their full potential and find their purpose, passion and place in Cameroon, regardless of their region of origin. The award is a fully inclusive program and has no social, political, or religious affiliations. The GAICAM Impact Award is a viable mechanism to Partner and promote the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals. This award has three (3) distinctive awards categories; Cameroon Heroes of Valor, Exceptional Cameroon Heroes and Reamrkable Cameroon Heroes
- CAMEROON HEROES OF VALOR
The Cameroon Heroes of Valor Award is a special recognition, annually awarded to individuals with incredible leadership abilities; few men and women who have stood the gap for the Fatherland – Cameroon, inculcating the values of national unity and cultural diversity in their daily responsibilities, irrespective of their region or community of origin. It is awarded to ten (10) Cameroonians who have exceptionally contributed to national growth and development, peace and harmony, and have defended the national colors, amongst others. People whose contributions to national growth has not discriminated against others, but have included every Cameroonian; thus, promoting sustainable peace and growth across the national frontiers.
- EXCEPTIONAL CAMEROON HEROES
The Exceptional Cameroon Heroes Award is a special recognition, annually awarded to public administrators with exceptional leadership abilities; few men and women who have exceptionally exhibited great leadership skills in the course of discharging their office duties to the public. It is awarded annually to ten (10) Cameroonians such as Medical Doctors, Secretary Generals of Ministries, Mayors, Governors, Rectors/Vice Chancellors, Magistrates, Directors of public corporations, City mayors, State Councils, and Commandant de Brigade who have exceptionally contributed to national growth, peace and security, and have inspire many in the effective discharge of their duties. People whose exceptional leadership has inspire many and serve as reference to future public administrators.
- REMARKABLE CAMEROON HEROES
The Cameroon Heroes Award is a carefully mapped out recognition, designed to; Identify, Encourage, Promote and Honor forty-five (45) remarkable Individuals, Organizations, Associations, Public Institutions, and Corporate Structures who are championing extraordinary initiatives that have significantly contributed to the social, economic and cultural development of their communities and Cameroon at large. The Cameroon Heroes award is designed to share the untold stories of these remarkable individuals and corporate entities to the world, while projecting how they are giving back and changing lives and the course of their communities towards national growth and development.
GAICAM believes that there lots of remarkable people in different communities in Cameroon who are contributing so immensely to the peace, growth and development of their communities, and the nation at large, but with little or no encouragement to their efforts to the national growth. Some of these people don’t even have the opportunity to share their stories, and most often we don’t even have a clue of the indispensable role they are playing in their communities; contributing to the inclusive peace and development of our Fatherland. These people are extraordinary people, who most often have sacrificed their individual aspirations for the betterment of their communities and our great nation. These people deserve to be honored for their contribution to national growth, peace and development. We call them; “Cameroon Heroes”.
We have the conviction that every strong and vibrant nation in modern history, was built by visionaries whose patriotic hearts drove them to think beyond the confines of their own very survival – few men and women who challenged the normal status quo and focused their energy and passion on their creative and innovative abilities to create businesses and enterprises; individuals who challenged themselves to find solutions to societal problems and built a solid foundation for the growth of their nations. These are the people we call Cameroon Heroes. They are the type of people and entities that we want to honor for their remarkable contributions to the Peace, Growth and Development of their communities and the nation as a whole.

To identify, encourage, promote and honor exceptional individuals, organizations, associations, public institutions, and corporate structures who are engaged in activities that create outstanding impact in the lives of people or communities; contributing immensely to the socio-economic development of their communities and the growth and development of the nation.

Significance of the Awards
With regards to the fact that this award is purely focused on impact in our communities; sharing the untold stories of remarkable people and institutions contributing so immensely to the growth and development of our nation, we are very optimistic that this act of recognition will go a long way to spur up lots of initiatives and encourage participation to national growth, creating more job opportunities, reducing employment and crime wave in our various communities.

The preoccupation of this award ceremony is to;
